Alice's Life

Created by VICKY 15 years ago
Alice Lowther (previous SLATER) was born and bred in Liverpool with sister Joyce (Robinson), brought up by her father due to mother dying in childbirth when Alice was five years old. Alice only had one true love in her life and therefore married James Lowther, and had six children. Jimmy, David, Billy, Maureen, Mick and Dawn. Billy died as a young child and Maureen was also taken at a young age of 37 years. Alice loved all her children and later grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alice worked all of her life, travelling the UK (Leeds, Coventry, Yorkshire and always back to Liverpool) as work became available for herself and husband James, as bus conductors, factory worker ans so forth. In her early years, Alice worked in the Land Army on farms beside the sea in the south of the UK. After husband James passed away aged 57 years, Alice devoted her life to her children and grandchildren, always taking care of others and decided to live with sister Joyce for many happy years. Joyce passed away in 2004 (http://joyce.robinson.muchloved.com). Alice had the greatest smile, loved life and had various happy times within her 85 years. Alice was a huge Everton Football Club supporter and loved the Orange order.
